Kochi: A passenger has been arrested after allegedly attempting to open the emergency exit door and damaging a window panel on a Kochi-bound flight, prompting swift action by the cabin crew and fellow passengers. The incident raised serious safety concerns and led to immediate intervention before the situation could escalate.
According to airport authorities, the passenger allegedly tried to tamper with the aircraft's emergency exit during the flight and also damaged a window panel inside the cabin. Crew members quickly restrained the individual with the assistance of other passengers, ensuring the safety of everyone on board.
The pilot informed Air Traffic Control about the incident and requested security assistance upon landing. After the aircraft arrived safely at Kochi airport, the passenger was taken into custody by security personnel and later handed over to the police for further investigation.
