PM Modi greets Uttar Pradesh on 76th Foundation Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished the people of Uttar Pradesh on the state’s 76th Foundation Day, highlighting the cultural heritage and development.


In his message, PM Modi called Uttar Pradesh a “holy land” which has been the backdrop of India’s history, mythological stories and culture. He said the state has been moving ahead in development for the last 8 years.


“On the foundation day of Uttar Pradesh, I extend my warm wishes to all my brothers and sisters of the state. This holy land, which has witnessed countless mythological and historical periods in Indian culture, has been engaged in creating new chapters of development for the last eight years,” PM wrote on X.


The Prime Minister said he has full faith in the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the state will be a big contributor in India’s journey to become a developed nation.


“I have full faith that with the government dedicated to public welfare and the amazing talent and tireless hard work of the people here, our beloved state will make its invaluable contribution in the creation of a developed India,” PM Modi added.


Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also wished the people of the state on this occasion. In his message, CM Yogi said Uttar Pradesh is a spiritual and cultural hub which has places of reverence like Ayodhya, birthplace of Lord Ram, Mathura, birthplace of Lord Krishna and Varanasi, the holy city.


“Hearty congratulations to the people of the state on the 76th Foundation Day of Uttar Pradesh, the holy birthplace of ‘Raghukul Nandan’ Lord Shri Ram and Yogeshwar Shri Krishna, blessed by the blessings of Baba Shri Vishwanath, the glorious land of creation, culture, values and bravery!” CM Yogi wrote on X.


The Chief Minister also mentioned the state’s growth under PM Modi’s leadership and called UP the “growth engine” of New India. He said the state is setting new records in development, security and governance under the central government.


“Under the guidance of the esteemed Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, the ‘growth engine’ of New India, New Uttar Pradesh is setting new benchmarks of development, security and good governance every day,” CM Yogi said.


Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day started in 2017 when then Governor Ram Naik suggested to observe January 24 as UP Day. The state first celebrated its foundation day in 2018 on 68th year of India’s independence.


January 24, 1950 was the day when United Provinces became Uttar Pradesh, a state after India’s independence.
