According to a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the 130 crore Indians' combined efforts to develop Nari Shakti.
The Prime Minister tweeted, "This is a great sign, reflective of the collective commitment of 130 crore Indians to strengthen our Nari Shakti," quoting Smriti Irani, the Union Minister for Women and Child Development, who had mentioned that India has seen a decrease in the rate of female infant mortality.
Smriti Irani tweeted earlier on Wednesday, quoting a news article, "India registers a reduction in the female newborn mortality rate."
