Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his five-nation diplomatic tour with a strong focus on trade, technology, defence cooperation, and global investment, as India sought to deepen its strategic partnerships across Europe and other regions. One of the major highlights of the visit was his interaction with top global business leaders at the European Round Table for Industry, where discussions centred on manufacturing, innovation, clean energy, and supply chain expansion.
During the meeting, PM Modi invited global companies to increase investments in India, highlighting the country’s rapid economic growth, digital transformation, and expanding infrastructure network. Business leaders from major European industries reportedly discussed opportunities in sectors such as semiconductors, green hydrogen, electric mobility, artificial intelligence, defence production, and logistics.
The Prime Minister emphasised India’s position as a reliable global manufacturing and investment destination, pointing to policy reforms, stable governance, and initiatives aimed at boosting ease of doing business. He also stressed India’s ambition to become a leading hub for advanced technology and sustainable industrial growth.
The five-nation tour included high-level bilateral meetings, trade discussions, and strategic dialogues with leaders from Europe and partner nations. Defence cooperation, clean energy partnerships, climate action, maritime security, and critical technology collaboration remained key themes throughout the visit.
In several meetings, PM Modi pushed for stronger cooperation in renewable energy and emerging technologies while also seeking greater participation from international companies in India’s infrastructure and industrial projects. Discussions were also held on strengthening global supply chains and reducing dependence on limited manufacturing centres.
The visit witnessed the signing of multiple agreements across sectors including education, innovation, trade, mobility, and energy cooperation. India also focused on enhancing people-to-people ties, academic exchanges, and startup collaborations with partner nations.
The Prime Minister addressed members of the Indian diaspora during the tour, praising overseas Indians for strengthening India’s global image and economic connections abroad. Community events drew large crowds and highlighted growing engagement between India and its diaspora communities.
Political analysts view the tour as part of India’s broader strategy to strengthen its global economic footprint amid changing geopolitical equations and growing competition for strategic partnerships. The government believes stronger engagement with European economies and global investors will help accelerate India’s long-term economic and technological ambitions.
Officials described the tour as successful in terms of diplomatic outreach, investment promotion, and strengthening India’s role in global economic and strategic affairs.
