At the historic Jagannath Temple in Dhurwa, artisans are busy with the final stages of preparing the traditional wooden chariot. The temple premises have started witnessing an increase in devotees as rituals and preparations gather pace ahead of the festival. The Rath Yatra, dedicated to Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra, is considered one of the most significant cultural and religious events in Ranchi.
The Ranchi district administration and police have reviewed the security arrangements in detail. CCTV cameras are being installed at strategic locations, additional police personnel will be deployed, and special measures have been put in place for crowd management and traffic regulation.
