SEVEN PEOPLE KILLED IN HEAD-ON COLLISION IN RAJASTHAN

Deadly Road Accident in Rajasthan Claims Seven Lives

A head-on collision between a van and a bus in Rajasthan's Deedwana-Kuchaman district on Saturday killed seven people from one family. Two others were injured.


The event took place near Banthadi village, which is policed by Khunkhuna Police Station. The van was carrying a family of nine people from Sikar to Nagaur to attend a wedding ceremony. The bus was approaching from the other side of the road.


The police said that the exact reason behind the accident is yet to be ascertained, but they suspect that the van may have been speeding.The deceased have been identified as Ramkishan (45) ,Rajkumari (40), Suresh (18),Sunita (17), Rakesh (15), Akash (10) and Manju (5).The injured have been identified as Suresh (25) and Suraj (10).The police are conducting inquiries into the incident..


This is the second fatal road accident in Rajasthan in the past two days. On Friday, six people were killed when a truck collided with a car in Jhalawar district.The state government has appealed to people to be careful while driving and to follow traffic rules. It has also announced an ex gratia of Rs. 5 lakh each to the kith and kin of the deceased.


The accident is a reminder of the importance of road safety. Drivers should always follow the speed limit and be aware of their surroundings. They should also avoid driving when they are tired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.


The state government should also take steps to improve road safety in Rajasthan. This includes better enforcement of traffic laws, improving road infrastructure, and providing better driver education.
