Following the decision taken by the Bhagwant Mann-led govt, nearly half of the security personnel have been withdrawn from Giani Harpreet Singh.

Giani Harpreet Singh responded to the AAP government’s decision to reduce his security by saying that he learned from his security officers that they have been called back.

Harpreet Singh stated he didn’t require the Punjab government’s security, saying, “It’s not a huge deal, I’ve requested the secretary to talk to the govt to call back remaining security guys, we don’t need security, especially from the Punjab government.” We don’t need security from the state government, so we’re sending back the remaining security personnel.” Khalsa Panth, “Our Sikh youngsters are adequate to provide security; we don’t need security from the state government.”

He said he had security Cover of around 6 personnel out of which half of them had been withdrawn and he was sending back the remaining.

In the recent past, Harpreet Singh had suggested the Sikhs especially the Sikh youth to arm themselves with modern licensed weapons and procure them legally due to present uncertain times.

In April, the Punjab govt had withdrawn the security cover of 184 people.
