Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday confirmed that she has tested positive for COVID-19. This came a day after her mother Sonia Gandhi also tested positive for the virus.
"I've tested positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms. Following all the protocols, I have quarantined myself at home. I would request those who came in contact with me to take all necessary precautions," Priyanka Gandhi tweeted.
On June 2, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi also test positive for the Covid and isolated herself.
Meanwhile, the ED has issued a summon to Sonia Gandhi asking her to appear for questioning on June 8 in connection with the National Herald case.
Senior Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said Sonia Gandhi developed symptoms like a fever on Wednesday evening and after being tested her report came positive.
