In a shocking incident on Monday, black ink was hurled at farmer leaders Rakesh Tikait and Yudhvir Singh while they were attending an event in Karnataka.

The duo was clarifying a sting operation video in which Karnataka farmer leader Kodihalli Chandrashekar was caught asking for money.

Rakesh and Yudhvir in a press conference were saying that they had nothing to do with Chandrashekhar and asked for strict action against the Kisan leader.

While they were interacting with the media, some people started arguments with them and eventually threw black ink at them. People also threw around the chairs in a protest against the duo. After the incident, Rakesh Tikait claimed that the ink was thrown by the supporters of farmer leader Chandrashekar.

Commenting on the incident, farmer leader Avik Saha said, "We, the Samyukta Kisan Morcha leadership is traveling to all corners of the country and raising awareness, building up the movement that will happen very soon. The announcement of which will happen in a week or 10 days. I don't think he had gone there to refute or contest any farmer leaders' claims about anyone".
