DEPUTY CM OF NEWLY ELECTED GOVT OF KARNATAKA, DK SHIVAKUMAR REASSURED THAT HE WILL FULFILL ALL THE PROMISES MADE BEFORE ELECTION

Congress party leaders guarentees to fulfill the promises made to common public before election

After winning the assembly polls in Karnataka, the grand old party was in a dilemma that who would they place in the post of CM. Finally among the chief contenders, Siddaramaiah returned in the CM post to serve his second term.


    DK Shivakumar who was another contender for this post got placed as a deputy by the party brasses. On Friday , Karnataka's deputy chief reassured that they will fulfill all the guarantees made to the public. He told ''We are going to implement our guarantees."


      Previously, Congress leader KC Venugopal while announcing the name of new CM and his deputy also assured that the govt will stick to their promises and will act upon it.


     They are going to implement the five key promises in the first cabinet meeting. The first guarantee is to offer 200 units of electricity for free to every household. Second, the party assured jobless graduates and diploma holders of an unemployment benefit of Rs 3,000 per month and Rs 1,500 per month, respectively.


Third, Rs 2000 has been promised to every woman heading the household. Fourth, 10 kg of free foodgrains has been promised to every member of a family below the poverty line. Lastly, the Congress party has promised women free travel in state transport buses.
