Former UP CM Mulayam Singh Yadav's heath deteriorates, shifted to ICU in Gurugram hospital

After his health deteriorated, Ex Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party (SP) patriarch, Mulayam Singh Yadav was taken to the ICU of Gurugram's Medanta Hospital on Sunday. PM Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath talked with SP chief Akhilesh Yadav to ask about the his father Mulayam Singh Yadav's health.


According to sources, PM Modi assured Akhilesh that he was available to offer any help or assistance possible.


As per information given by the Uttar Pradesh government, Yogi Adityanath contacted doctors at the hospital via call and asked them to extend the best treatment to him.


Yadav's family members are reaching Gurugram to check his health, as per Rajesh Chandra, SP's Uttar Pradesh unit spokesperson.


Akhilesh Yadav also visited the hospital while Mulayam Singh Yadav's brother, Shivpal Singh Yadav was already there, according to party sources. They also shared that it has been advised to party workers not to rush to the hospital in Gurugram.


As per hospital sources, the veteran leader is receiving treatment under oncologists Dr. Sushil Kataria and Dr. Nitin Sood.


Sources shared that Mulayam Singh Yadav has been in the hospital for treatment since 22nd August, and was admitted to the hospital in July also.


The microblogging site Twitter saw an inflow of wishes for speedy recovery of Mulayam Singh Yadav. Tweets have been made by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Defence Minister Rjnath Singh, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Rashtriya Lok Dal President Jayant Singh Chaudhary.
