The secular Janata Dal would actively collaborate as an ally with Chandrasekhar Rao's Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) and fight the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections together, according to JDS leader and former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy.

He took part in a ceremony in Hyderabad where the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party was renamed the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and designated a national party, and he addressed to the media before departing for Bangalore.

CM said that the JDS and TRS parties have always been natural allies. Working together has been based on mutual trust. Now, our party applauds TRS's rise as a major national party known as BRS. In the upcoming days, we will collaborate with K Chandrasekhar Rao.

In the 2023 Karnataka assembly elections and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, JDS and BRS parties will collaborate. Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh are among the states that have a BJP-Congress mukt political atmosphere, he said.

He stated: "I also made the decision to bring the same situation to Karnataka with Chandrasekhar Rao. We'll make an effort to do it."

In addition to Congress and the BJP, both parties will work hard to build a majority government in Karnataka in the upcoming elections, he said.

Karnataka will also become a powerful player in national politics. We talked about establishing a Kannadiga-led government together in Karnataka. The platform for it is today's programme, he continued.

According to CM HD Kumaraswamy, KCR unified the Telangana population under his strong leadership to create the state of Telangana.

Later, during his presidency, he carried out numerous pro-people initiatives. He put into effect ground-breaking initiatives like "Raita Bandhu" and "Dalit Bandhu," making government services accessible to all citizens. In Karnataka, JD(S) also took similar action. Karnataka would also implement similar pro-people policies in the near future, he added.

KCR has developed successful programmes for the welfare of farmers, dalits, and those who are economically disadvantaged. In Telangana, numerous such programmes have been put into effect. The country's wealth should primarilybe distributed fairly rather than concentrated in a small number of individuals. Their goal is for the average person to benefit from this wealth as well. He stated that KCR has tried to strengthen farmers, dalits, and the weak in his state.
