As the grand old party won the polls in Karnataka , the question over the post of CM arises. The chief contenders of the post are - Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar.
On Tuesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met veteran leader of the party Mallikarjun Kharge to discuss the appropriate candidate for the post of CM in the state. Gandhi went to Kharge's house and held a close door meeting over this issue. Among the other members Randip Surjewala, general secretary of party affair in Karnataka was present on the meeting.
On Monday , Shivakumar cancelled his meeting to meet the top party leaders in Delhi stating health issues, on the other hand, former CM Siddaramaiah is in Delhi.
It has been speculated that some issues are going on in the party.
On Tuesday when Siddaramaiah arrived at Delhi airport , he did not speak a word and left the place with folded hands when he was asked questions by the reporters.
