Maharashtra Political Crisis: At 5 pm Apex court slated to hear Shiv Sena’s case against Governor’s direction to go for floor test tomorrow

"This is an unlawful activity. The issue of disqualification of 16 MLAs is pending in the Supreme Court. Now if BJP and Governor House are trying to bring down the government, we will approach the Supreme Court and seek justice," Sanjay Raut said

In response to the Maharashtra governor’s direction to CM Uddhav Thackeray to go for a floor test on June 30, Shiv Sena has approached the Supreme Court against the orders and the case will be heard today at 5 pm.

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut had earlier said that the party would challenge the governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari’s decision in the apex court.

"This is an unlawful activity. The issue of disqualification of 16 MLAs is pending in the Supreme Court. Now if BJP and Governor House are trying to bring down the government, we will approach the Supreme Court and seek justice," Sanjay Raut said.

He also took a dig at the urgency shown by Governor to bring floor test to the states.

"The speed in which the Raj Bhavan has acted on the demand [by BJP] is faster than the Rafael jets purchased by [Prime Minister Narendra] Modi," Raut added.

Meanwhile, the Eknath Shinde-led rebel group has confirmed that they are moving to from Guwahati to Goa today and also affirmed that they will land in Mumbai tomorrow for the floor test.
