Amid escalating political tension in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena dissident Eknath Shinde is expected to arrive in Mumbai. Reportedly Shinde and other Shiv Sena rebels are likely going to meet the governor in Goa where the Shinde-led rebel camp is staying currently.
Today while talking to the media, Shinde said, “Today we are going to Mumbai. there is no need to worry we are not fugitives.. we will return to Maharashtra.”
Also, as per the sources, Shinde and his associates are planning to head for Delhi first before arriving in Mumbai. it is reported that at least 48 MLAs are supporting Eknath Shinde.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray last night decided to step down from Maharashtra’s chief ministerial seat. He also announced that he is resigning from the legislative assembly.
