Maharashtra’s Special Assembly Session slated for July 3, 4

As far as the numbers are concerned, the Bhartiya Janta Party has 106 MLAs, whereas, the Shinde-led group has 50. Out of 50, 39 are from Shiv Sena. Also, the saffron party has garnered the support of several other independent MLAs

Maharashtra’s Special Assembly Session is slated to take place on July 3 and 4 and the nomination for Speaker’s election will be filed on the second of July. On July 3 Speaker’s election and on July 4 the vote of confidence will be held. 


As far as the numbers are concerned, the Bhartiya Janta Party has 106 MLAs, whereas, the Shinde-led group has 50. Out of 50, 39 are from Shiv Sena. Also, the saffron party has garnered the support of several other independent MLAs.   


Meanwhile, the Maha Vikas Aghadi government has been ousted from the power and Eknath Shinde took an oath as Maharashtra’s chief minister on Thursday. BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis has been appointed as the deputy CM.
