Delhi, 4 December: Voting for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi is now taking place, with 18% of the 250-ward in Delhi reporting as at 12 o'clock.

Among the politicians who voted in the Delhi MCD election on Sunday were Dr. Harsh Vardhan of the BJP, Parvesh Verma, Arvind Kejriwal, Gopal Rai, and Ajay Maken and Alka Lamba of the Congress party. All of the political figures have urged voters to turn out in huge numbers.

In a statement to the media following the vote, Dr. Harsh Vardhan expressed his complete confidence in the participation of a sizable number of Delhi residents. He continued by saying that the BJP has led the nation to new heights under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and that even Delhi has seen the party's achievements over the past 15 years.

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, and Manish Sisodia, his deputy, have already cast their ballots. They have also urged Delhi residents to do the same to support a government free of corruption. Kejriwal urged voters in a tweet to support an honest party and decent individuals.

"My appeal to all the Delhiites - do go to cast your vote today to form an honest government in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi," Kejriwal wrote in a tweet.

"Today the whole family went together and voted to form an honest government in the Municipal Corporation. Today is a holiday, you too must go and vote with your whole family. Ask your neighbors and acquaintances to vote too. Together we will make Delhi clean and beautiful," Kejriwal added.

Voting for 250 MCD Wards is now taking place and will close at 5.30 p.m. Voter tallies will be tallied on December 7. There are a total of 1,349 candidates running for the MCD polls, including 709 women and 640 males. Intricate plans have been developed by the Delhi State Election Commission to guarantee free and fair elections.
