Congress leader Rahul Gandhi thanked party workers and the people of Karnataka on Saturday afternoon as the party stood poised to sweep the polls. The Congress stands poised to win 137 seats - well above the majority mark of 113.
First of all I would like to thank and congratulate the people of Karnataka, the workers of the Congress party in the state and all party leaders. Karnataka mein Nafrat ki bazaar band hui hai, Mohabbat ki dukaan khuli hai," the former MP asserted during a brief address.
He also said that “poor people defeated crony capitalists in Karnataka".
