Opposition’s presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha arrives in Telangana, received by CM KCR at Hyderabad airport

The presidential election is scheduled to be held on July 18, and Telangana CM announced that he would be supporting Sinha for the top post in India. After receiving the Sinha, Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) is also slated to launch a mega roadshow for Sinha

Presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha was today, July 2, received by Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao at Hyderabad’s Begumpet Airport.


The presidential election is scheduled to be held on July 18, and Telangana CM announced that he would be supporting Sinha for the top post in India. After receiving the Sinha, Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) is also slated to launch a mega roadshow for Sinha.


During his visit to Telangana, Yashwant Sinha will meet MPs and MLAs of the KCR-led party.


The voting for the presidential election is scheduled for July 18 and the counting process will take place on July 21. Yashwant Sinha’s name as a candidate for the next president was put forward by the opposition on June 21. 


PM Modi is also roped in to visit Telangana today. But as per the reports, chief minister KCR may not be present at the airport to welcome him. The PM is visiting Telangana to take part in the two-day-long Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Executive meeting.
