Budget 2025-26 discussion in Parliament begins today with Motion of Thanks on President’s address in both Houses.

Meanwhile, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will see intense debates as opposition has demanded discussion on Maha Kumbh stampede tragedy during Budget session. Though Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju has not given any confirmation, he said Business Advisory Committee will decide on the agenda.

Budget was presented on 1st Feb. First part of the session will conclude on 13th Feb and second part will begin on 10th March. Session will conclude on 4th April. Session has 16 Bills including Waqf (Amendment) Bill and Immigration and Foreigners Bill.

As slogans were being raised in Lok Sabha, Speaker Om Birla on Monday asked the Opposition to maintain peace as other MPs were raising questions. Opposition members demanded discussion on Maha Kumbh stampede in which 30 people died.

“Tanashahi nahi chalegi”

“India ke log aapko table break karne ya slogans uthane ke liye chunne nahi the”
