Nitish Kumar recently asked Prashant Kishor to re-join the party and take the party's leadership, but he declined and said it was not possible, not even if Nitish Kumar gave up the position of chief minister for Prashant Kishor.

Prashant Kishor, a former election strategist who is now a politician, declared on Wednesday that he would not work for Nitish Kumar of the JD(U), the chief minister of Bihar, even if Nitish gave up the CM's position for him. According to Prashant Kishor, he made a commitment to the people that cannot be broken. He has also disclosed that Nitish Kumar asked him to join the Mahagathbandhan at their most recent meeting, which took place after Nitish Kumar left the NDA alliance in Bihar and became the state's chief minister.

I categorically stated to the CM that I would not work with him, even if he (Nitish Kumar) made me the political heir or...vacated his seat as CM in favour of me. I refused because I had promised the people something that it can't be changed, said Prashant Kishor while speaking to a crowd at Jamunia hamlet in the West Champaran district as part of his ongoing 3,500-km Jan Suraah yatra.

Throughout the yatra, Prashant Kishor frequently brought up Nitish Kumar in his speeches. "You must have all read in the media that Nitish Kumar had invited me to his home ten to fifteen days ago. He wanted me to be his party's leader. I argued that it was impossible," on Tuesday, Prashant Kishor remarked.

After joining the JD(U) in 2018 and rising to the position of national vice-president, Prashant Kishor was later expelled from the party after a disagreement with Nitish Kumar about the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Prashant Kishor was recently accused by Nitish Kumar of working for the BJP as the JD(U) questioned the funding for Prashant Kishor's yatra. In response to these questions, Prashant Kishor stated that anyone wondering about his sources of money should also be aware that, in contrast to them, he never engaged in "dalaali".
