Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced that he will expand his cabinet after adding 5 more MLAs as ministers.
The ceremony of inducting the ministers will be held at 5 pm tomorrow, July 4. At Punjab Raj Bhawan. This will mark the first cabinet expansion since the Aam Aadmi Party came into power in Punjab three months ago.
Now that five more ministers have found their place, the total strength of the Mann-led cabinet will rise to 15. However, the names of the MLAs who will be inducted as ministers have not been revealed so far.
After AAP’s thumping victory in the Punjab assembly elections, 10 MLAs were incorporated into the cabinet as ministers. Currently, there are nine ministers in the Mann-led cabinet after health Minister Vijay Singla was fired from the cabinet over corruption charges.
