Sanjay Raut to appear before ED today

After receiving multiple summons from the Enforcement Directorate, Shiv Sena MP is all set to appear before the probe agency today.

 Raut confirmed that he is will head to the ED today. “Yes today I am going to Enforcement Directorate”, Raut said.

Also, Raut took a dig at the ED and said that the probe is backed by politics and the ED is being used to intimidate leaders.

“Everyone Knows that the summons from the ED is political. The central agency summoned me and I am a citizen as well as MP. So I will go to ED”.

On Tuesday, the Shiv Sena MP demanded more time to appear before the ED office. His lawyer wrote a letter to the central agency asking for more time. 

The summon came amid the political tension in Maharashtra as the several MPs of Shiv Sena had rebelled against Uddhav Thackeray. Earlier Raut was summoned on Tuesday, but due to his unavailability, he could not appear before the ED and sent his lawyer there to demand more time.
