Sanjay Raut to appear before ED tomorrow, July 1 in connection with money laundering case

The summon came amid the political tension in Maharashtra as the several MPs of Shiv Sena had rebelled against Uddhav Thackeray. Earlier Raut was summoned on Tuesday, but due to his unavailability, he could not appear before the ED and sent his lawyer there to demand more time

After receiving a summon from Enforcement Directorate, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has confirmed that he will appear before them tomorrow, July 1.


Raut had been second time summoned by the ED, asking him for questioning in connection with money laundering in the Patra Chawl case 


On Tuesday, the Shiv Sena MP demanded more time to appear before the ED office. His lawyer wrote a letter to the central agency asking for more time. 


The summon came amid the political tension in Maharashtra as the several MPs of Shiv Sena had rebelled against Uddhav Thackeray. Earlier Raut was summoned on Tuesday, but due to his unavailability, he could not appear before the ED and sent his lawyer there to demand more time. 


Meanwhile, Uddhav Thackeray submitted his resignation as chief minister of Maharashtra on Wednesday, a few hours before the floor test ordered by the apex court.
