On Thursday, FIFA confirmed that it has taken full control over the PFF and from now on will manage the federation
The ban imposed on Pakistan Football Federation(PFF) due to undue third-party interference has been lifted by FIFA.
The Ashfaq Hussain Shah-led group in 2018 was given the authority to run the PFF and took the charge of the headquarters in March 2021.
They had taken over the control of FIFA’s normalization committee saying that the committee has not conducted the elections since it came into power.FIFA had suspended the PFF saying it had come into power due to a “hostile takeover”.
But on Thursday, FIFA confirmed that it has taken full control over the PFF and from now on will manage the federation.
“The PFF was also informed that any undue interference in its affairs or action that could hinder the fulfillment of the mandate of the normalization committee might lead to the PFF being suspended again and/or the imposition of other sanctions provided for in the FIFA Statutes,” FIFA stated.
