10-year-old boy murdered by neighbours in Kathua, all 4 accused arrested

Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a heinous crime when a 10-year-old boy was murdered by his neighbours over the old enmity between the families. The crime was committed last night in Saidpur village in Kathua.

The body of the slain boy was found in a nearby field encased in a bag. It was found that the boy was tortured before killing him as his arms, legs and mouth were tied with cloth and plastic tape. The victim was identified as Praney, son of Raman Gupta, resident of Saidpur village of Kathua.

However, the murder mystery was solved within six hours and the Kathua Police confirmed that all 4 accused including 3 minors have been arrested by the police. The Prime accused has been identified as Pawan Saini, son of Daya Ram. He is also the resident of Saidpur village.

Confirming the arrest of the accused in the case, SSP Kathua, RC Kotwal, said, “A 10-year-old was beaten to death in Saidpur area of Kathua, his body was recovered the same night. All 4 accused incl 3 minors & an adult taken into custody. Questioning to reveal more about motive of such heinous crime committed against a small child.”
