BIDEN WARNS OF PUTIN’S NUCLEAR THREAT, SAYS THE BIGGEST RISK OF “ARMAGEDDON” SINCE CUBAN MISSILE CRISIS.

President Joe Biden expressed his concern over the possibility of Putin using nuclear weaponry calling it the biggest “Armageddon” since the Kennedy and Cuban missile crisis. Biden remarked during a fundraiser for the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee that Russian President Vladimir Putin was "not joking when he talks about the use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons." He continued to add “I don’t think there is any such a thing as the ability to easily use a tactical nuclear weapon and not end up with Armageddon.”

This has come after Putin reinforced his threats of using tactical nuclear weapons, after suffering a huge setback in the eight-month-long invasion of Ukraine. He said this in response to the West threatening to attack Russia and compromise its “territorial integrity” after he announced the annexation of Ukrainian territories, saying that this is not a “bluff”

Although the senior US officials have cautioned that the US hasn’t prepared for any nuclear invasion even as late as Thursday. However, analysts believe that if Russia's invasion fails or additional Ukrainian land is annexed by Moscow, the US would need to be ready for both of these scenarios. Biden’s remarks on Putin at an event such as a fundraiser are a clear indication of fear and anxiety across Europe and Washington that the use of a smaller yield tactical weapon might also swiftly turn into a total global catastrophe.
