CBI ARRESTS CHIEF SANITARY INSPECTOR OF CHANDIGARH IN BRIBERY CASE

CBI has arrested a Chief Sanitary Inspector in Chandigarh and a Health Supervisor in a bribery case of ₹1 lakh.


Inspector Sekhon appeared before the investigation agency at CBI zonal headquarters in Sector 30.


This case was registered on complaint against a Chief Sanitary Inspector, UT, Chandigarh. It was alleged that the accused demanded bribe in lieu of reinstating the Complainant who had been removed from the post of Sanitary Inspector (contract basis) as he was not able to attend office due an accident.


Inspector Harinder Singh Sekhon, former in-charge of Operations Cell, Wednesday joined the CBI investigation into the bribery case registered against three men — Constable Pawan Kumar, brother of BJP leader Anil Dubey, Manish Dubey alias Babloo, and Anil Kumar Kuki.


Sekhon appeared before the investigation agency at CBI zonal headquarters in Sector 30. Sources said that he was questioned for around two-and-an-half hours separately and in the presence of two accused Manish Dubey, brother of BJP leader Anil Dubey, and Anil Kumar Kuki. The two are in the CBI custody till Friday.
