On Tuesday, a technical issue caused the helicopter of former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan to make an emergency landing close to the Punjab town of Rawalpindi. Imran, the chief of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was flying from Dera Ismail Khan to Islamabad when his chopper experienced a "technical fault," according to sources cited by The Express Tribune.

According to the report, the event took place close to Adiala town in the Rawalpindi district.

"Awami leader Imran Khan! Chairman Imran Khan's conversation with local people after the helicopter landed near a village near Adiala on his return from Dera Ismail Khan," PTI tweeted.

Other party officials were with Khan, who is embroiled in a political conflict with the Shehbaz Sharif-led government.

The pilot showed foresight and avoided a potential accident, according to the report, ensuring the safety of all leaders during the emergency landing.

The former Prime Minister reportedly used the road to travel to his Bani Gala residence since the helicopter had a fault.

Khan had visited the DI Khan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to provide assistance to the flood victims. According to the Tribune, his chopper would be delivered at Noor Khan Airbase by Sunday morning after repairs.

Last month, a plane carrying former Pakistani Prime Minister Khan managed to avoid a crash by making an emergency landing.

According to Pakistani media reports, the event took place when Imran Khan was flying in a special plane to Gujranwala to speak at a rally.

The plane's pilot made contact with the control tower in an effort to avoid a collision, and they were able to safely land the aircraft. After the emergency landing, Khan travelled by road to Gujranwala.
