This year's G20 Summit slated to be held in Bali, Indonesia, this week will be dominated by Russia- Ukraine war and the presence of Russia’s representative in the Summit is also expected to create a schism.

The G20 will include the representatives from the western countries that have openly condemned the Russia’s ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine. But on the other hand, the meet will also incorporate countries, including China, Indonesia, India and South Africa that have not distanced themselves from Russia after the war.

The summit will mark the first gathering when Russia’s foreign minister Sergei Lavrov will be meeting his counterparts of world’s leading economies since Russia-Ukraine war.

Commenting on 2022’s G20 meet, German foreign ministry spokesperson Christian Wagner asserted that the meeting would not be a normal summit or a usual business gathering.
