PTI's supporters were booked for settling army officer's house on fire

Punjab Police have booked 1500 party workers for attacking and vandalising public properties and government buildings.They have been alleged for setting on fire the top of army officer's house in Lucknow.


    Former PM's supporters flounced the General Headquarters of the Army, striking military vehicles unit and setting the residence of the Lahore Corps Commander on fire.


    It has been reported that two people were killed due to this violence.Khan’s arrest on Tuesday in a corruption case by the Pakistan Rangers sparked violent protests across Pakistan, resulting in at least eight people dead and nearly 300 others injured in clashes between protesters and law enforcement agencies. The PTI supporters have blamed the army for Khan’s arrest.


The Punjab police have registered dozens of FIRs against the PTI leadership and workers for injuring police officials, damaging and looting public property, and raising “highly objectionable” slogans against the Pakistan Army. The police have also claimed that they have arrested Khan’s 76 supporters who attacked the Pakistan Army’s General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. Over 1,400 people have been arrested across the province in the wake of widespread violence.
