INDIA AND UK'S PM DISCUSSES BOTH COUNTRIES PROGRESS IN FTA NEGOTIATIONS

Modi and Sunak discusses bilateral strategy of India and Britain's progress in FTA negotiations

On Sunday, PM Modi and UK 's PM Rishi Sunak held a bilateral meeting in Japan. PM Modi is on his 3 day visit for G7 summit which is happening at Tokyo.


     Arindam Bagchi who is the spokesman for Ministry of External Affairs told that the two top leaders analysed their prudent union and gauged India-UK FTA mediation in the meeting.


    He tweeted "Leaders agreed to deepen cooperation across a wide range of areas, such as trade & investment, science & technology, higher education, and people to people relationship".


    As per the officials , PM Modi also discussed about G20 meeting that will take place at Kashmir between 22nd to 24th of May. He also told that he is looking forward of British officials and chiefs in the meeting.


    Previously, on Saturday Indonesian President Joko Widodo and UN chief Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the G7 summit.


   PM Modi paid tribute to the memory of Hiroshima victims at Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima.


     The prime minister also engaged in a brief conversation with Australian PM Anthony Albanese. India's PM Modi also held bilateral talks with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
