While his predecessor Donald Trump is preparing to celebrate the festival of lights at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on October 21, US President Joe Biden plans to celebrate Diwali at the White House on October 24.
With famous figures in the Indian American community and officials from his administration, Biden plans to celebrate Diwali. On October 24, First Lady Jill Biden will also take part in the celebrations at the White House.
The White House's Diwali celebrations' specifics are still being finalised.
Trump will celebrate Diwali at his Mar-a-Lago resort on October 21 with members of the Republican Hindu Coalition (RHC) and leaders of the Indian American community, the RHC said on Tuesday.
According to Shalabh Kumar from RHC, it is scheduled to last for four hours. He also mentioned that the Trump team was looking into the possibility of using fireworks.
