"KNOW A LOT OF THINGS, BUT I AM QUIET: EX-PAK PM IMRAN KHAN WARNS ISI

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan issued a stern warning to the nation's intelligence agency on Friday, saying "he could have exposed the ISI, but refrained for the betterment of the country."

"DG ISI (ISI Director-General Nadeem Anjum) open your ears and listen, I know a lot of things, but I am quiet only because I don't want to harm my country... I do constructive criticism for betterment otherwise there was a lot I could say," Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said during the rally.

The much-awaited "Haqiqi Azadi Long March" began from Lahore's Liberty Chowk to Islamabad with Imran Khan and other party members. Since Imran Khan was removed from power, the conflict between Imran Khan and ISI has gained attention. Imran Khan previously claimed that the then-opposition coalition was "afraid" that he would choose Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed, a former chief of the ISI, to be the next chief of the army staff.

"They were afraid that I wanted to appoint Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed. They feared that if that would have happened then it would shatter their future," the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman said. Clarifying his stance, Imran Khan said, "I never thought of appointing someone as army chief. I have never taken a decision that is not based on merit."

Imran Khan praised India once more for its independent foreign policy and for buying Russian oil in accordance with its national interests despite pressure from the West during the conflict in the Ukraine.

Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), claimed during his first speech that while India was able to import oil from Russia as it wanted, Pakistanis were a slave nation that was incapable of making decisions for the wellbeing of their own.

This country's decisions must be decided within. Nobody should ask us if Russia is providing cheap oil and if I have the option to save my countrymen. Nobody ought to be able to inform us. Russia allows India to import oil, but Pakistani slaves are not permitted. Justice must prevail, and I want to live in a free nation where people may feel safe and secure, shared Imran Khan.

Imran Khan claimed that throughout his 26-year political struggle, this was the most important journey he was beginning.

He said: I have just one goal. Now that we have been liberated from the British, it is time to launch the Haqiqi Azadi. This is my message to the people of Pakistan. This march is not in support of politics, elections, or religion. The sole purpose of the protest is my desire to free Pakistan.

"Listen to this carefully. People are watching the drama. Inflation has engulfed the country. Imported thieves have done the blunder of inflation. But they (ruling party members) are acquitted of Rs 11 crore scam. Their handlers, if they believe, they will be accepted.. listen carefully, this country will be able to sacrifice anything," he said.
