The monsoon session of the UP assembly will be going held from August 7-11. the Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly is set to become the first in the country to replace the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, 1958, with a new rule book.
The governor has summoned the 18th Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha meeting will held on Monday 7th August for its 2nd session of 2023.
This session will be very short and will continue till the 11th of August.
As per Finance and parliamentary affairs minister Suresh Khanna, at least 13 ordinances will be tabled in the assembly session.
the UP government might not present any supplementary budget this time as, according to sources, there is “no urgent requirement for it”.
The assembly has decided that it would be prudent to bring in a new rule book instead of making amendments to the existing one as it would be a tedious process.
The need for replacing old rules was felt after e-Vidhan was introduced in the legislature.
