Saadia Farajallah, oldest female prisoner in Isreali prison dies

Saadia hailed from the southern West Bank city of Hebron. A mother of eight children, she was detained near Ibrahimi Mosque in December 2021 after she tried to stab an Israeli soldier

Saadia Farajallah, a 68-year-old female Palestinian prisoner breathed her last on Saturday morning in a Damon prison in northern Israel. The cause of her death has not been revealed yet. She was the oldest prisoner in an Israeli Prison.


Saadia hailed from the southern West Bank city of Hebron. A mother of eight children, she was detained near Ibrahimi Mosque in December 2021 after she tried to stab an Israeli soldier.


Israeli authorities have not given any official statement about her death and also have not revealed the exact cause of her death.

 

Reportedly, she was suffering from several chronic diseases and was receiving regular treatment for some time. She was admitted to the hospital for some time before returning to the hospital after a week’s stay. The investigation into her death has been initiated.
