Razorpay POS has ushered in a new era in India’s digital payments landscape by launching the country’s first-ever ‘Self-Healing’ Point-of-Sale (POS) device, powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). This groundbreaking device is capable of identifying and fixing technical issues on its own during transactions, ensuring smoother, faster, and more reliable payment experiences for merchants and customers alike.
The new POS device comes equipped with three core features—SignalHeal, SpeedHeal, and PowerHeal. SignalHeal detects network issues (mobile or Wi-Fi) and automatically switches to a better connection, drastically reducing failed transactions. SpeedHeal enhances device performance by shutting down unnecessary background apps, improving processing speed by up to 65%. PowerHeal monitors battery health and activates power-saving features, extending battery life by nearly five extra hours per charge.
This innovative technology addresses long-standing concerns faced by retailers, such as transaction failures, system slowdowns, and sudden device shutdowns. Razorpay POS claims that these AI-driven devices offer 99% uptime and significantly boost transaction success rates, ensuring uninterrupted operations at retail counters.
Kunal Gothivarekar, Head of Razorpay POS, said, “Reliability is no longer a luxury—it is a necessity. Our self-healing POS is designed to not just support operations, but to anticipate and resolve issues before they impact business.”
This launch marks a significant leap forward in India’s retail and payment tech ecosystem. Razorpay aims to expand this self-healing technology across its product line, making intelligent, autonomous payment systems more accessible to businesses of all sizes. The move signals how AI is not just transforming online platforms but revolutionizing offline, real-world customer experiences at the checkout counter.
