NEWLY INTRODUCED VANDE BHARAT EXPRESS RUNNING BETWEEN MUMBAI CENTRAL TO GUJRAT'S GANDHINAGAR STRUCK BY ACCIDENT

When a herd of buffaloes crossed the railroad tracks between Vatva station and Maninagar at around 11.15 am, the Vande Bharat Express travelling between Mumbai Central and Gujarat's Gandhinagar was struck by an accident. The engine's front end was damaged in the collision, according to Senior PRO for Western Railway, JK Jayant.


The incident, which caused damage to the train's front coach, occurred between 11.18 and 11.27 in the morning, according to railway officials. Three to four buffaloes also died in the incident.


Vande Bharat Express is a semi-high speed, self-propelled 16-coach train set that was designed in India. The train travels at 3.5 mph for enhanced passenger comfort and accelerates to 160 kmph in under 140 seconds (riding index).


The Vande Bharat Express 2.0 provides multiple superior and aircraft-like travelling experiences. It has cutting-edge, modern safety features, such as a locally built Train Collision Avoidance System (KAVACH). It offers on-demand Wi-Fi content.


It runs six days a week, excluding Sundays, and stops at stations in both directions in Surat, Vadodara, Vapi, and Ahmedabad. Executive chair cars cost Rs 2,505 to go from Mumbai to Ahmedabad, while chair cars cost Rs 1,385.
