Real Target Revealed: Bilawal Claims U.S. Eyes Pakistan's Nuke

In a bold statement, Pakistan's former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari accused the United States of harboring designs on the country's nuclear weapons. Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Bilawal claimed that recent U.S. maneuvers, including diplomatic pressures and economic challenges, are part of a larger plan to weaken Pakistan's nuclear deterrence.

Calling it an affront to Pakistan's sovereignty, he stated, "The real target isn't our democracy or our economy—it's our nuclear weapons." According to Bhutto, Washington's actions are less about fostering stability and more about ensuring that Pakistan's nuclear capabilities remain in check.

Experts have expressed mixed reactions to Bhutto's allegations. While some view his claims as political rhetoric aimed at rallying nationalistic sentiments, others have pointed to a history of U.S. concerns over Pakistan's nuclear security.

Bhutto further criticized the U.S. for allegedly supporting internal political instability. He claimed that this strategy aims to delegitimize Pakistan’s governance on the global stage, making it easier to impose restrictions on its defense capabilities.

The U.S. has yet to respond officially to Bhutto's remarks. However, analysts believe such statements could strain diplomatic ties further, especially at a time when Pakistan faces significant economic and political challenges.

Whether this is a strategic move to distract from domestic issues or a genuine warning, Bhutto's claims have ignited a fresh debate about foreign interference and national security. Pakistan's nuclear weapons remain a sensitive subject, with implications that resonate far beyond its borders.
