KATHUA, 19 OCT ; Continuing its efforts to discourage the trade and transportation of illicit liquor, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma -IPS* arrested one bootlegger & recovered 71 bottles of JK Excise Whisky i.e ( 27 Bottles of 250 ml each, 44 Bottles of JK special Whisky 180 ml each) from the possession of one person in the jurisdictional area of PS Rajbagh.
On 18-10-2025 police team led by SHO PS Rajbagh Insp Ajay Singh Chib under the supervision of *SP Ops. Kathua Sh. Mukund Tibrewal IPS* and SDPO Border Sh. Dheeraj Katoch during naka/ checking in its jurisdictional area apprehended one person namely Roshan Lal S/o Tarseem Lal R/o Hardo Muthi Rajbagh Tehsil Marheen District Kathua. During checking 71 bottles of JK Excise Whisky i.e( 27 Bottles of 250 ml each, 44 Bottles of JK special Whisky 180 ml each) recovered from his possession. In this regard a case FIR No 192/2025 U/S 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at PS Rajbagh.
*SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma- IPS* assures that strict action will be taken against anyone caught involved in illegal Trade/transportation of illicit liquor.
The general public appreciates the efforts of #Kathua Police in seizing the Stockpile of Illcit liquor and apprehending the accused and believes that such actions will deter others from engaging in similar activities.
