Ahead of Shabi-Qadr & Eid-Ul-Fitr, Authorities Carry Out Market Checking in Qazigund

Qazigund, March 24: In preparation for Shabi-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr, local authorities conducted a comprehensive market inspection in Qazigund town on Monday to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulate prices.

According to an official, a joint team comprising revenue officers, police personnel, and food experts, led by SHO Qazigund, carried out the checks across various market areas to ensure that all essential commodities were being sold at government-approved rates and met the required quality standards. The authorities also focused on confirming that there was adequate availability of consumables ahead of the upcoming festive season.

“The inspection included various business units, including kiryana stores, bakery shops, mutton and chicken vendors, as well as vegetable sellers,” the official added. The drive aims to protect consumers from inflated prices and ensure fair trading practices during this significant time.
