Kamikaze drones-A loitering munition-have been inducted into the Indian Army in Jammu & Kashmir as it sets in place a promising technique to conduct counter-terrorism operations. The tactical advantages of these drones, which hover over a target area, identify threats, and then decide whether to perform an attack, have made them a game-changer against the insurgency in the region.

This induction is a concrete part of the Army's forged plan to employ effective, technology-based interventions to tackle terrorism. Kamikaze drones are capable of holding an armed warhead that can destroy a target with pinpoint accuracy; it is not just a drone, and it can be earlier announced as explosive drone; yet it acts with intelligible action that is, inelectable to neutralize targets from inaccessible terrains: such as forests-right up to the hill ranges of Jammu & Kashmir-as identified by the monitoring of the heavy metal cargo-over all ceilings.

These drones will consequently reduce the danger to troops during any anti-terror operations, it said. By employing unmanned aerial systems, the Army can drastically lower casualties on either side, while maintaining the operational offensive against the militants. The loitering capability provides real-time intelligence extending to target identification and selection, thereby enhancing operational efficiency.

The HUGE factor in Kamikaze induction, along with other concurrent means of technology against third-generation warfare, is the effective security threat for both LoC and internal security challenges in J&K and keeping in mind the upside-down war with drones used on the other end of the globe in modern wars. Kamikaze has definitely been seen to draw the world's attention into various modern conflicts, and their lining up within the Indian defense structure is set to augment both military readiness and anti-terrorism endeavors.

Experts see the move as a proactive measure to check terrorism into cross-border infiltration in the region. They suggest that increasing usage of drone warfare will enable the Indian Army with an enormous strategic edge to conduct counter-terrorism operations and to preserve stability and order in Jammu & Kashmir.
