Awareness Program on Women Empowerment Held at Government Degree College DHpora

Government Degree College DHpora, in collaboration with ICDS Kulgam, organized a one-day awareness program today focused on women empowerment. The event aimed to educate students and faculty about gender equality and women's rights, attracting a large audience.

The program was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Viqar Ahmad Giri, who lauded the initiative. “This program is a significant step in raising awareness about the rights and potential of women. Such efforts are essential in promoting gender equality and encouraging women to take leadership roles,” he said in his address.

Alongside college staff and students, the event featured participation from the One Stop Solution and Mahila Shakti Kendra teams, who shared vital information on legal and social protections for women.

The program received positive feedback, with attendees expressing optimism that such initiatives will inspire further progress toward gender equality and women's empowerment.
