Kupwara District Administration Orders Closure of Schools and Educational Institutions in Several Areas Up to March 17

Kupwara District Administration has ordered the closure of schools and educational institutions in several parts of the district till March 17. That was a precautionary measure, but officials did not say what exactly justified it. It is expected that the step will temporarily affect several schools and colleges in the southern part of the district and other areas, rendering academic activities at a standstill for some time.

Authenticated announcements shall be made for students, teachers, and parents to stay updated and follow up with any further directions by the administration. They have assured that once the situation normalizes, educational institutions will function normally, and in the meantime, students should continue their studies at home.

Local people flared at the sudden dawn closure of the schools and universities, with many requesting clarity on what exactly was going on.
