Ladakh: In order to evaluate operational readiness and the general security situation along the northern borders, Lieutenant General Hitesh Bhalla, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Fire and Fury Corps, visited forward posts of the Siachen Brigade and the Forever in Operations Division.

Lt. Gen. Bhalla visited troops positioned in extremely high-altitude regions and praised their professionalism, fortitude, and unwavering commitment to carrying out their duties in some of the world's most severe weather and terrain conditions.

The GOC commended the field formations for their successful integration of contemporary technology to enhance situational awareness, surveillance capabilities, and operational efficiency throughout the northern frontier. In order to guarantee the long-term well-being and combat readiness of soldiers stationed in isolated and high-altitude areas, he also evaluated the infrastructure and logistics readiness.

Highlighting the strategic importance of the region, Lt Gen Bhalla urged personnel to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, vigilance, and readiness at all times. “The Fire and Fury Corps remains fully committed to safeguarding the nation’s frontiers and supporting soldiers deployed in some of the most challenging operational environments,” he said.

His visit underscores the Army’s continuous focus on enhancing readiness along sensitive border areas, particularly in light of the demanding climatic conditions and evolving security challenges.
