MLA Kupwara alleges doctors use security concerns to secure transfers

Jammu: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Kupwara, Mir Muhammad Fayaz, on Saturday said that the doctors in his district are managing transfers by citing excuses like security concerns.

Mir pointed out that medicos posted in Kupwara district are using security concerns as a pretext to secure transfers to Srinagar and other places.

Mir further demanded a complete ban on the private practice of medicos, stating that many doctors only work for a few hours in public hospitals and then spend the remainder of their time running private clinics.
