PM Surya Ghar Awareness Program Held at Tehsil Office Kulgam

Kulgam, April 16: An awareness program under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana was held today at the Tehsil Office Kulgam with the aim of educating the public about the benefits of rooftop solar power systems.

The program witnessed active participation from local residents, Lumbardars, and Panchs, who gathered to learn about the scheme and its implementation process. The initiative seeks to promote the use of solar energy in households by providing subsidies and support for installing rooftop solar panels.

Tehsildar Kulgam, along with officials from the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) Kulgam, attended the event and addressed the gathering. They explained the objectives of the scheme, the registration procedure, and the financial and environmental benefits it offers.

The officials encouraged the community members to take full advantage of the scheme and assured full support from the administration in facilitating its implementation. The event concluded with an interactive session, where queries from the participants were addressed in detail.
