Police Attach Property of Drug Peddler in Qazigund

KULGAM, OCT 6: Kulgam Police on Monday attached the property of a notorious drug peddler involved in multiple cases at Checki-Badwani area of Qazigund in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

An official said that a residential house belonging to Bilal Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Abdullah Bhat, resident of Checki-Badwani, Qazigund, was attached by police.

“The action was taken under Section 68-F(1) of the NDPS Act, 1985, after the property was identified as illegally acquired during the course of investigation and enquiry conducted by police,” the official added.

Police further stated that those involved in drug peddling will be dealt with strictly as per law. “Our consistent action against drug peddlers should reassure the community that we are committed to keeping our society free from the scourge of drug menace,” police said.
