Rural Development Department Kulgam Registers 15,828 Beneficiaries Under PMAYG 2.0

KULGAM: The Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Kulgam, has successfully registered 15,828 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin 2.0 (PMAYG 2.0) scheme since January 1, 2025. The initiative, aimed at providing affordable housing to rural families, has seen a significant uptake in registrations, marking a notable step towards ensuring that eligible households in Kulgam have access to proper housing.

Assistant Development Commissioner (ACD) Kulgam, Syed Naseer Ahmad, while speaking on the achievement, stated, “We are pleased to report the successful registration of 15,828 beneficiaries so far. However, if there are any eligible persons who have yet to apply, they are strongly encouraged to visit the nearest Rural Development Department office for assistance and complete their registration.”

He also emphasized that the last date to apply for PMAYG 2.0 is rapidly approaching—March 31, 2025. He urged all remaining eligible families to ensure their registration before the deadline to avail of the benefits.

The PMAYG 2.0 scheme is part of the government’s ongoing effort to improve the living standards of rural families by providing them with affordable and durable housing solutions.

All interested residents of Kulgam are advised to act promptly and visit their nearest Rural Development Department office for guidance and assistance in completing their registration.
