Panic-stricken locals had surrounded the village of Badhaal with mysterious deaths. In a flash response, the government quarantined many people who were in contact with those infected. A batch of 15 individuals released after close observation has now set foot on their way home.
The administration said that various medical tests had been conducted on these quarantined individuals, with no signs of infection appearing. Accordingly, the group was declared disease-free and sent home. Local concerns were met with a reassurance from the health officials that the situation had returned to normal.
From early on, there had been relentless vigilance from both health and administrative authorities. Certain special health camps were convened in the village with the aim of investigating the locals and providing proper medical advice. Health workers made timely visits and were directed to report immediately on any unusual symptomological presentations.
Although the quarantine period has been lifted, they still insisted that everyone must be careful. The locals have been asked to strictly observe health guidelines and, if they feel unwell, to report to a medical facility immediately. While the village is happy with the development, authorities still remain on their toes for any similar eventuality in the future.
